This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs cancellations and refund requests for subscription fees and hardware purchases made through Quantan Innovations Pvt Ltd ('Quantan Innovations', 'we', 'us', or 'our'). It is framed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Subscription Cancellation

Quantan Innovations subscriptions are not auto-renewed. No automatic charges will occur after your current subscription period ends. You may choose not to renew your subscription at expiry, which constitutes a natural cancellation.

If you wish to cancel your active subscription before its expiry date, you must submit a cancellation request to legal@quantan.io within 2 (two) days of the subscription activation date. Cancellation requests submitted after 2 days of activation will not be eligible for a refund for that subscription period.

2. Refund Eligibility — Software Subscription

Refunds for monthly subscription fees will only be considered under the following conditions:

  • The cancellation request is submitted within 2 (two) days of the subscription activation or renewal date; and
  • The subscription fee paid does not exceed ₹100 (One Hundred Rupees). Subscriptions with a transaction value exceeding ₹100 are not eligible for a monetary refund, except where a functional defect or software bug is established as described in Section 3 below.

Note: Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, users have the right to seek redressal for defective services. This policy does not override your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable Indian law.

3. Refund for Functional Defects or Software Bugs

Notwithstanding the transaction amount limit in Section 2, a refund or service credit may be granted where the User can demonstrate, to Quantan Innovations' reasonable satisfaction, that:

  • A material functional defect or bug exists in the Software that substantially prevents its intended use; and
  • The defect was reported to Quantan Innovations at legal@quantan.io within 2 (two) days of the subscription activation date; and
  • Quantan Innovations has been given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate the defect but has been unable to do so within 7 (seven) business days.

Quantan Innovations reserves the right to offer a service credit, extended subscription period, or monetary refund at its discretion upon verification of a qualifying defect. The decision of Quantan Innovations shall be final, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

4. Hardware — Quantan Kiosk

Hardware units supplied by Quantan Innovations are not eligible for return or refund except under the following conditions:

4.1 Dead on Arrival (DOA)

If a Kiosk unit arrives in a non-functional or visibly damaged condition, you must notify Quantan Innovations at legal@quantan.io within 2 (two) business days of receipt. DOA claims must be supported by photographic evidence documented at the time of receipt. Validated DOA units will be repaired or replaced at Quantan Innovations' discretion. DOA claims submitted beyond 2 business days of receipt may not be accepted.

4.2 Manufacturer Warranty Defects

Hardware defects covered under the manufacturer's warranty must be reported to Quantan Innovations at legal@quantan.io. Quantan Innovations will facilitate the warranty process with the relevant manufacturer where applicable.

4.3 Exclusions

No refund will be issued for hardware where the damage or malfunction is caused by:

  • Misuse, negligence, or failure to follow installation and operating guidelines;
  • Unauthorised modifications or tampering with the Kiosk hardware;
  • Physical damage or liquid damage not attributable to Quantan Innovations;
  • Normal wear and tear of consumable parts.

Hardware returns or replacements are not processed outside of Dead on Arrival and manufacturer warranty coverage.

5. Payment Gateway — Third-Party Transactions

All payments are processed by authorised third-party payment gateways. Quantan Innovations does not control and is not liable for any errors, failures, delays, or disputes arising in connection with payment gateway transactions. For any payment disputes, chargebacks, or issues related to the payment process itself, you must contact the relevant payment gateway or your bank directly. Quantan Innovations will provide reasonable cooperation in facilitating the resolution of bona fide payment disputes where required by law.

6. Free Trial Period

No charges are applied during the 14 (fourteen) day free trial period. Accordingly, no refund is applicable for the free trial. If you do not wish to continue after the free trial, simply do not activate a paid subscription.

7. Refund Processing

Once a refund request has been reviewed and approved by Quantan Innovations, the refund will be processed within 2 (two) business days of approval. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Quantan Innovations is not responsible for any delays caused by third-party payment gateways or banking institutions once the refund has been initiated from our end.

8. Non-Refundable Circumstances

The following are explicitly non-refundable:

  • Subscription fees for periods already consumed beyond 2 days of activation;
  • Subscription fees exceeding ₹100 where no functional defect is established;
  • Hardware purchases outside Dead on Arrival or manufacturer warranty claims;
  • Fees arising from the User's failure to renew the subscription in time, resulting in service interruption;
  • Any losses or costs arising from third-party payment gateway failures or disputes.

9. How to Submit a Cancellation or Refund Request

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

Requests must include your registered email address, Tenant ID, reason for cancellation or refund, and (for defect claims) a description of the issue with supporting screenshots or logs. Quantan Innovations will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 (two) business days.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or limit any right or remedy available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other applicable Indian consumer protection law. If you believe your consumer rights have been violated, you may approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

11. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Any disputes arising out of this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
