1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ('Policy') governs the collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of personal data and information by Quantan Innovations Pvt Ltd ('Quantan Innovations', 'we', 'us', or 'our') through its platform and products, including:

• Quantan Software — web platform, desktop application, and tenant management interface;
• Quantan Kiosk — a self-service hardware unit deployed at print shop premises; and
• Any associated services, updates, and integrations (collectively, the 'Services').

This Policy is drafted in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ('SPDI Rules'), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ('DPDP Act, 2023'), as applicable in the Republic of India.

By registering an account, activating a subscription, or using the Services, you ('User', 'Data Principal', or 'print shop operator') acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the Services.

The Services are intended exclusively for use within India. Quantan Innovations does not offer its services to entities or individuals outside the territory of India.

For all data protection inquiries, grievances, or requests, you may contact our designated Grievance Officer at legal@quantan.io. We endeavour to respond to all legitimate requests within 30 (thirty) days of receipt.

3. Data We Collect

The Services collect the following categories of data when you register, activate, or use our platform:

3.1 Account and Identity Information

• Tenant (print shop) owner name and contact details;
• Business name, registered address, and GSTIN (if applicable);
• Email address and mobile number used for account registration.

3.2 Device and System Identifiers

• Device identifiers associated with the machine running Quantan Software;
• Quantan Kiosk unit identifiers and network interface identifiers;
• Operating system version and system configuration metadata;
• Software version, installation date, and update history.

3.3 Print Job Files and Content

• Print job data including file names, formats, page counts, and timestamps;
• Job queue metadata including job status, priority, and completion logs;
• Customer-submitted print files processed through the Quantan Kiosk.

3.4 Usage Analytics and Logs

• Software activity logs including login sessions and user actions;
• Error logs and crash reports for diagnostic and support purposes;
• Feature usage patterns to improve product performance;
• Network connectivity metadata for device communication.

3.5 Payment and Billing Information

• Subscription plan details and billing cycle information;
• Transaction reference numbers and invoice records;
• Payment method type (processed via authorised third-party payment gateways; raw card data is never stored by Quantan Innovations).

You may choose not to provide certain information; however, doing so may restrict access to specific features of the Services or result in inability to activate your subscription.

4. Consent

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Quantan Innovations obtains your explicit and informed consent before collecting or processing your personal data.

4.1 How Consent is Obtained

Upon first use of the Services, you will be presented with this Privacy Policy along with a clearly labelled checkbox stating:

"I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy of Quantan Innovations Pvt Ltd."

The Services will not proceed to activation or use until this checkbox is explicitly checked by the user. Pre-checked boxes are not used. Consent is not bundled with other terms in a manner that obscures the user's choice.

4.2 Consent Records

A timestamped record of your consent — including the date, time, Software version, and Policy version in effect at the time of consent — is logged and stored securely. This record may be used to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

4.3 Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time by submitting a written request to legal@quantan.io. Please note that withdrawal of consent may result in the inability to access or use certain features of the Services or may require termination of your subscription. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following lawful purposes:

5.1 Service Delivery

• Activating and managing your account and subscription;
• Processing print jobs submitted through the Quantan Kiosk or Software;
• Enabling hardware communication between the Quantan Kiosk and the Quantan platform;
• Providing remote monitoring and diagnostic support.

5.2 Account and Subscription Management

• Authenticating users and managing tenant accounts;
• Processing subscription renewals, upgrades, and payments;
• Sending subscription expiry alerts and renewal notices.

5.3 Product Improvement and Analytics

• Analysing usage patterns to improve software performance and features;
• Conducting internal research, testing, and quality assurance;
• Identifying and resolving software bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities.

5.4 Legal and Compliance Obligations

• Complying with applicable Indian laws, regulations, and judicial orders;
• Responding to lawful requests from law enforcement or government authorities;
• Enforcing our Terms of Service and associated policies.

5.5 Communication

• Sending product updates, release notes, and maintenance notifications;
• Responding to support requests and resolving technical issues;
• Sending optional marketing communications (you may opt out at any time by contacting legal@quantan.io).

6. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored both locally on your device (machine-level storage managed by the Software) and on Quantan Innovations' cloud infrastructure hosted within India.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide the Services. Upon your written request for account deletion or data erasure, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 (thirty) days, subject to any statutory obligations requiring us to retain certain data under applicable Indian law (including but not limited to tax, audit, or legal proceedings).

Print job content submitted by end customers through the Quantan Kiosk is retained only for the duration necessary to complete the print job and is deleted thereafter, unless explicitly retained by the print shop operator through Software settings.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Quantan Innovations does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

7.1 Service Providers

We engage trusted third-party vendors (such as cloud infrastructure providers, payment gateways, and analytics platforms) who process data solely on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.

7.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data to comply with a court order, statutory requirement, or lawful request from a government or law enforcement authority under applicable Indian law.

7.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

7.4 Protection of Rights

We may disclose data when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quantan Innovations, its users, or the public, including to prevent fraud or cybersecurity incidents.

All third parties with whom data is shared are bound by confidentiality obligations and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose beyond what is necessary for the services they provide.

8. Security Practices

Quantan Innovations implements industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include, but are not limited to:

• Certificate-based authentication for device-to-server communications;
• Encrypted storage of credentials and security tokens;
• Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls and audit logging;
• Encrypted data transmission over HTTPS;
• Regular internal security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Notwithstanding the above, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure. While we take commercially reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for ensuring the physical security of devices on which the Software is installed.

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the appropriate regulatory authority in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023.

9. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

• Right to Access: You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the purposes for which it is processed.
• Right to Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Right to Grievance Redressal: You may file a grievance with our Grievance Officer at legal@quantan.io if you believe your data rights have been violated.
• Right to Nominate: You may nominate another individual to exercise your data rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of the above rights, please submit a written request to legal@quantan.io. We will respond within 30 (thirty) days. We may request proof of identity before processing your request.

10. Children's Data

The Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 (eighteen) years. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that personal data of a minor has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete such data.

11. Changes to This Policy

Quantan Innovations reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated to registered users via email (to the registered account email address) or in-Software notification at least 15 (fifteen) days prior to the changes taking effect. Continued use of the Services following such notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

The most current version of this Policy will always be accessible within the Software under Settings → Legal → Privacy Policy and at https://www.quantan.io.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
